Ear X-tacy in trouble again, Timmons says

Ear X-tacy Records owner John Timmons posted the above video on YouTube this week asking customers to choose Ear X-tacy when they shop. It is his second public appeal following a news conference he held in March at the store’s previous location at 1534 Bardstown Road. The store, now in its 25th year of operation, relocated to a smaller space in Douglass Loop over the summer, citing declining revenues due to digital downloads and competition from big box retailers. Timmons’ appeal quickly made the rounds on Facebook today. Other record shops in the region, like Landlocked Music in Bloomington, Ind., chimed in on the social network to say they too feel the pain. —Mat Herron

Please Dear God don’t close Ear X!
I moved to Louisville from Indianapolis and then moved back years ago. Ear X was my savior while I lived there.
